Job Summary

As a POOLCORP Senior Product Owner, you will become the product expert for your product and ensures the entire development process is transparent and clear to all the stakeholders.Work collaboratively with the Product Owner to understand the customer's need and work to fulfill them.You will play a role that is at the core of our Agile process by getting deep into customer requirements, prioritizing the features as per their importance.You will own the team's backlog, define user stories, and help shape the vision and product roadmap. Your primary responsibility is to be aware of the business goals the product needs to achieve and help adapt the Development Team's work according to those goals. As a Senior Product Owner, you will interface with the product's external vendors (if any) and working with the Scrum Master, ensure complete coordination between the internal and external feature team.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeps a close eye on the metrics and suggests new solutions to increase the product's business value.

  • Verifies the business value delivered by the product and how it aligns with the client's strategy.

  • Represents the customer/business to the feature team.

  • Works with Product Manager to feed the funnel and manage customer feedback.

  • Leads and supports the sizing/effort calculations for a feature and aligns capacity to velocity required for the team.

  • Keeps track of where the team members are in their backlog, what they're working on next, and how much time it's going to take them to complete that task.

  • Prepares and participates in Program Increment Planning.

  • Maintains the team's product backlog prioritizing the tasks that the team will take up next.

  • Develops and tracks Features and User stories

  • Defines the user stories and works with the team to make sure they are clear.

  • Application of Behavioral Driven Development (Testing)

  • Acceptance of the stories

  • Leads team demos and retrospectives

  • Maintains the technical and conceptual integrity of the features or components for the team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Business Administration or related field.

  • At least 5 years' experience in product management.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an environment using DevOps, preferably Azure DevOps

  • Strong knowledge of the ins and outs of the Scrum approach, Agile Framework, software development, design, and IT infrastructure.

  • Possess a working knowledge of software technology, computer programming experience, and broad business knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical material using non-technical language

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

The annual compensation for this position in Louisiana is between $90,000 and $120,000 based on a full-time schedule. Additionally, this position may be eligible for relocation or cost of living adjustments.
