Asante is seeking a Per Diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Primary Care team in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. The Per Diem CNM will function in the following role:
Education: Graduate from an RN School of Nursing. MSN with graduation from a Certified Nurse Midwifery program. Experience: 1 year of independent, full spectrum midwifery practice. Licensure/Certifications: Nurse Midwife Nurse Practitioner (NMNP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN); Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board; Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA). Other Qualifications: Ability to independently provide safe, compassionate reproductive health care to healthy women; ability to provide family-centered care to healthy mothers and newborns and to perform emergency procedures in the absence of a physician; ability to problem solve, interpret and deal with variables by using critical thinking skills; ability to demonstrate use of fetal testing modalities in previous practice settings; ability to work closely with and communicate effectively with patients and families; demonstrated clinical expertise in a specialty area utilizing clinical inquiry/research to provide evidence-based practice; and demonstrated experience utilizing disciplined inquiry, critical thinking, clinical judgment and decision-making.
