Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and connected alumni community by cultivating and strengthening relationships with alumni and friends of
UNC Greensboro. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining geographic, identity and affinity-based groups, for identifying, establishing (and maintaining) a volunteer pipeline, fostering alumni relationships and maintaining records for effective volunteer management. They will oversee an array of programs and initiatives, social media and online engagement for Alumni. |
Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree
- Four years of experience in a professional position, preferably in higher education or related relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels of professionals, internal and external to the organization; including identifying, recruiting, and managing volunteers.
- Experience with developing, implementing, and evaluating new strategies, programs, initiatives and procedures.
- Ability to proactively manage several projects at once and set and meet deadlines.
- Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally, work weekends and evenings.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and results oriented environment, with the ability to work in a timely manner.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
- Experience with social media and online engagement strategies.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with ERP systems, Banner in particular.
- Experience with EverTrue or similar donor experience platforms.
