Position Overview

The Application Systems Analyst II is responsible for, but not limited to, managing the installation, implementation, and future development of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other software applications utilized by Service Operation teams. This role will collaborate with Service Operation teams, internal and external business partners, and staff across all business units to understand their needs/problems and provide timely communication and service consultation. This role will ensure that all assigned applications, along with other systems controlled or associated with the Application Systems Analyst team, are effectively implemented, and maintained to meet the applicable regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include maintenance of the test and production environments, the validation of the systems, and working in close coordination with power users, IT personnel, and Service Operation personnel in the oversight of the related systems.

This is a 5 days/week onsite position in Madison, WI

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • System administrator for all identified applications utilized by LAS Service Operations.
  • Ensure that applications, devices, systems controlled are effectively implemented and maintained to meet the applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Working closely with Lead Application Systems Analyst to ensure upgrades, integrations, and updates to systems and devices occur in an environment that is conducive to high productivity and minimal downtime.
  • Assist with application audits, upgrades, integrations, and updates to systems.
  • Perform and/or assist with programming activities; including test, creation, or modification of the assigned applications based on user or other systems specifications.
  • Consult and collaborate with Exact Science Quality and Validation department to assess the impact of upgrades to the CMMS and determine next steps.
  • Provide maintenance to all database components and maintain a secure configuration.
  • Provide lifecycle database management services; including, but not limited to, design, development, provisioning, creation, modifying, and managing data and schema, cloning and backup, troubleshooting, account management, and decommissioning.
  • Create accounts for all users and assign security levels.
  • Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution.
  • Create and maintain database management procedures.
  • Identify and evaluate features or requirements for the enhancement of processes.
  • Collect sort and assemble data/information from established/non-established sources.
  • Establish, organize, revise, and maintain computer files and records.
  • Prepare and/or assist with data analyst reports and updates as requested.
  • Build relationships with IT Administrators and others to ensure conformance to architectural and technical support processes for the assigned systems/applications.
  • Support continuous improvement within the CMMS and ensure equipment and work orders are updated accurately and timely.
  • Working closely with Lead Application Systems Analyst and/or Service Operation trainers for technical training and development of staff, providing regular direction and feedback on system performance.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including GMP, FDA, ISO, and CLIA/CAP.
  • Maintain performance metrics and productivity metrics to drive process improvements and ensure visibility to leadership and staff.
  • Ensure compliance of all safety and work rules.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or another field relating to information technology or network administration; or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant work experience in any window-based data capture systems in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in a combination of calibration management systems, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), or application systems development methodology in a comparable Metrology/Equipment Service/IT environment or other Windows-based data capture systems.
  • Proficient with Data Analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Access, Excel, Power Point, Report Builder, Visio.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic data collection forms (e.g. ProntoForm, JotForm, MS Lightswitch, etc.).
  • Experience in a GMP and/or ISO 13485 environment.
  • Experience with CAP/CLIA and/or FDA regulations.
  • Experience with SharePoint and SQL tools.
  • Experience with Webpage design.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GLP & cGMP documentation practices.

Salary Range:

$67,000.00 - $109,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
