What You Will Do:

  • Manages all sales activities and results for the sucker rod group in the Midcontinent and Lower Rockies regions.

  • Develops and executes sales plans, devises KPI's for revenue growth, diversification, and share gain initiatives while developing team members both commercially and technically.

  • Provides detailed forecasts and sales reports.

  • Drives collaboration with other sales regions and divisions to generate comprehensive value for the customer.

  • Manages the sale of company products and services for a product line, geography, and sales channel of responsibility.

  • Develops sales personnel, customer accounts, and providing co-management and training to assigned sales force.

  • Develops and implements sales objectives, strategies, promotional programs and ensures their execution; establishes and implements sales plans as needed to support all target markets; achieves sales goals associated with revenue and profit targets.

  • Trains and manages existing sales organization dealers and new customers; champions the use of sales tools and processes for efficient and effective sales force.

  • Provides reporting on forecasts, budgets, and sales performance.

  • Identifies and pursues growth opportunities.

  • Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Drives and contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.

  • Coaches and mentors one or two levels of direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

  • Will be required to travel up to 40%

  • Oversees management of unmanned field locations to ensure adequate volume, turns, and inventory accuracy.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four year college or university degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence.

  • Five or more years of relevant experience

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of supervisory experience.

Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and persuade at the leadership level. Ability to motivate a sales team to meet and exceed goals.

  • Strong math and analytical skills.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

  • Thorough knowledge of customer relationship management systems and capabilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • Employee is required to regularly walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.

Work Environment:

  • Some work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities.

  • Work will include regular visits to customer office or field locations.

  • Work normally is executed in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • Work will require visits to customer field locations in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
