GROUNDSKEEPING & LIGHT MAINTENANCE
Gorman & Company is looking for an experienced, part-time Groundskeeper & Light Maintenance Technician for one of our Madison properties. If you are committed to providing first class groundskeeping / landscape services as part of a collaborative maintenance team, we would like to talk with you. Groundskeeping & Light Maintenance is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents. This position is approximately 20 hours per week.

A day in the life of a Grounds and Light Maintenance Technician:
- Work with our maintenance team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides and clean-up.
- Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and/or maintain fences.
- Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
- Complete corrective maintenance by completing service requests.
- Assist with unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and/or replacing appliances, plumbing, and/or electrical fixtures.
- Emergency maintenance/on-call when needed.
What do I need to qualify to be a Groundskeeper and Light Maintenance Technician?
- Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Previous groundskeeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
- Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
- Good safety habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
