Position Title: Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Wage: Based on Experience Shift: 3rd Hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am (Sunday - Thursday) Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has a great opportunity available for a Production Supervisor at a company in Grafton, WI. This is a direct hire position for 3rd shift. Apply now! Production Supervisor Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Production Department for the assigned shift or crew - Collaborate with other Production Supervisors to have effective operations between lines and shifts - Collaborate with Warehouse, QA, and Maintenance staff to see that their support is effectively directed - Strategically manage shift, with the ability to identify and implement both short- and long-term process improvements based on observations - Design and implement operating practices for the department, ensuring compliance with GMPs, and following the principles of Lean Manufacturing. These practices must be maintained as Standard Operating Procedures - Strive for the achievement of Individual, Line, and company goals, monitoring performance through metrics and report performance through scorecards and reports - Manage daily staffing of the assigned crew, accounting for time-off and administering time-card records - Compile required reports and documentation regarding operations, inspections, deviations and corrective actions - Enforce safety regulations, ensuring safety standards are met and required safety training occurs - Work with Human Resources on all employee relations issues - Attend company and department required training Requirements for Production Supervisor: - Post-secondary education/training preferred - At least five years of practical, hands-on experience in an equivalent role or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required - Experience working with plastic injection molding preferred - Experience in effectively managing other people - Experience working with computers and ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ERP systems) - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes - Able to work independently motivated and display leadership/supervisory skills to lead a team - Excellent communication skills - Well-developed training and presentation skills - Strong analytical experience; ability to analyze data sources, bringing multiple solutions for company - Demonstrated follow through skills and the ability to manage multiple projects - Effective at problem solving and thinking "outside of the box" - Able to modify their work schedule as needed for personnel training or scheduling change needs |
