Software Engineer in Test (Java/REST Assured)

Description:

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer in Test to work on a 12-month contract in Durham, NC. The pay rate is in the $65 to $70/hour range. This is a hybrid position, requiring two weeks onsite per month. Candidates must be local to the Raleigh/Durham, NC area.

* Develop automated testing solutions for high-volume batch applications.

* Collaborate with cross-functional Quality Assurance and Development teams to deliver financial planning tools.

* Use Java, Spring Boot, and REST Assured for API automation testing.

* Implement testing strategies using Postman, Cucumber, Gherkin, and Jenkins.

* Drive innovation in test automation and DevSecOps processes to enhance delivery speed and quality.

* Strong experience with Java, REST Assured, and Postman for API automation.

* Knowledge of Spark, cloud technologies, and Agile software development practices.

* Expertise in BDD testing with Cucumber and Gherkin.

* Experience in high-volume batch processing and working with relational databases for test data mining.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
