The Position: The Project Engineer plans and prepares drawings for construction of new, overhead or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities. The Project Engineer also is responsible for selecting the most cost beneficial route for all lines and equipment for work projects. Prepares detailed construction and installation drawings, provides estimates of labor and material costs. This engineer is also responsible for developing plans for local ring architecture, L2 and transport.
