Summary:

Provide support to the organization's benefit functions. Will assist in administering employee benefit programs and provide support to team members regarding benefit-related inquiries. Ensures accuracy of benefit enrollments, assists with new-hire benefit enrollments, performs quality checks of benefit related data, run regular and routine reports and reconciliations, and distributes benefit related materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates Palmetto Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) Culture, I-CARE Values, Mission, and Vision in all actions.
  • Maintain benefit data for all employees in ADP.
  • Maintain FMLA Log to track stages of FMLA events. Creating cases in ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Support annual open enrollment for health benefits and 401K.
  • Support compliance requirements with all HIPAA and COBRA regulations. Ensures integrity of all confidential and/or secured files.
  • Forward life, disability and all application conversion/portability notices and information to terminated employees in compliance with ERISA guidelines. (**email and/or mail notices to Terminated Team members. Use bi-weekly termination report.)
  • Provide friendly and informative customer service through answers, direction and instruction to team members concerning benefits, insurance claims problems, deductions, and other personnel or insurance questions. Assist with providing team member support for benefit access on ADP App. Research and respond to team member inquiries.
  • Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide support during discussions with insurance providers, benefits vendors, and HRIS vendors, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Perform monthly bill reconciliations.
  • Perform regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and compile reports on benefits usage, costs, and trends for management review.
  • Prepare and maintain annual benefit handbooks.
  • Assist with development, production and use of benefit orientation and enrollment materials. Create and maintain a benefit information resource library. (SharePoint, ADP, etc.)
  • Assist with all other Human Resource functions as needed.
  • Serve as back up for Human Resource Benefits. Contribute to an environment of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; walk; talk and/or hear; use close, distance and peripheral vision; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work is normally performed in an office environment. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
