Position Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our team. The primary responsibility will be conducting design of experiments (DOE) and driving various continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and collaborate with experienced professionals in the manufacturing engineering field. We anticipate the pay rate for this role being not less than $24/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design of Experiments (DOE):

* Plan, design, and conduct experiments to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes.

* Analyze results using statistical tools and methods to draw actionable conclusions.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure experiments are relevant and results are implemented.

2. Continuous Improvement:

* Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements.

* Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects, applying lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.

* Document improvements, standardize best practices, and ensure knowledge transfer.

3. Collaboration & Communication:

* Work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure alignment and achieve desired outcomes.

* Present findings and updates to the engineering and management teams.

* Ensure that all documentation is accurate and updated regularly.

4. Safety and Compliance:

* Adhere to all company safety protocols and ensure that any process changes meet industry and company compliance standards.

5. Learning & Development:

* Attend relevant training sessions and Kaizens to further your understanding of manufacturing processes and improvement methodologies.

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools, preferably with experience in the Design of Experiments (DOE).

* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and any relevant engineering software.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
