Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Manager PMO Leader to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The ideal Program Management Office (PMO) Leader will provide leadership, organization and coordination to support the PMO's key activities, encompassing program planning, governance and project management. The PMO lead ensure all projects administered by the PMO adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management. PMO Lead manages change and promotes the continuous improvement of project management related processes.

The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage the activities for a team of personnel from various internal and external organizations. The candidate will be responsible for managing issues and risks, reporting on progress, as well as presenting status to the client and account leadership as required. The candidate must be able to use MS Project to schedule, and track application migration activity, and roll up schedules into larger consolidated migration plans. Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Assist Leadership by planning, directing, and coordinating operations of the account.
  • Establish a governance structure to provide proper oversight of projects, and deliver effective communication of project performance to account leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee projects and services to ensure performance to cost, quality and schedule commitments.
  • Coach Project Managers (PMs) to meet established schedules, budgets, quality standards, resolve issues, and accomplish project goals.
  • Approve project vision, goals, objectives, project estimates and general scope.
  • Oversee project/program risk and issues management.
  • Escalate project delivery issues, as necessary.
  • Improve account team project/program management capability by identifying development needs and implementing training plans.
  • Ensure contract deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Coordinate internal and external account status reporting.
  • Maintain records of correspondence with the client.
  • Ensure project records reflect final specifications, analysis of success and effectiveness.
  • Submit Account Weekly Status Report to the COTR.
  • Create Account Monthly Status Report for Submission to COTR.
  • Create weekly internal Account Status Report for Submission to Account
  • SLA reporting using dashboards and manual reporting to deliver program performance metrics, root cause analysis, and remediation


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience, with at least four years of management level responsibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading a PMO in an enterprise environment
  • Must have progressive leadership experience in Operations, Quality, Finance, or Technology
  • PMP certification
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Must have specialized knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
    • Operations
    • Reporting
    • Processes
    • Project Management
    • Risks
    • Service performance
    • Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required; active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to obtain Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTMBE) required for our contract.
  • BA/BS degree

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
