The Automated Chemistry Equipment unit is seeking a highly motivated chemistry systems engineer to join a world-class team providing direct fleet support for automated online chemistry analysis system and developing new systems, technology, and methods to revolutionize fleet chemistry analysis. As a Chemical Engineer in the Automated Chemistry Equipment unit, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing hardware and software systems to maintain effective chemistry analysis in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, from requirements development and concept design through hardware delivery, training and system upkeep. Your specific tasks will include direct fleet support and field work, development of novel technologies, proof of principle testing, system design and testing, integration of equipment into fleet applications, and support work for deployed systems. You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team, including shipyard field engineers, fleet chemistry experts, laboratory operations personnel, and software and cybersecurity experts to deliver innovative solutions to the challenges associated with the modernization of fleet chemistry analysis. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE. Pay Range
$83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually
