Summary

Perform repair and preventative maintenance procedures on various Facilities systems as well as oversee vendor maintenance on ultrapure water plant, pH neutralization plant, compressed air systems, chilled and hot water plant systems and distribution as well as cleanroom air handling and exhaust systems and other HVAC equipment. Support manufacturing by maintaining the equipment for optimal performance and minimal disruption. General building maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all plant systems according to engineering specification. Assist in developing strategies to improve the operation of the plant. Act as primary point of contact for Facilities maintenance issues and requests.
  • Act in a self-directed fashion to complete all PMs and work duties as assigned by the automated system and the Facilities Lead Technician.
  • Use building management system to monitor facility and respond to alarms.
  • Oversee spare part inventories to ensure continuous operation of all physical plant systems.
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance and safety related tasks are completed on time.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility.
  • Support company initiatives, such as quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S and cost containment.
  • Ability to work in a water plant area, frequently wearing chemical protective garments and personal protective equipment in performance of activities.
  • Frequent work in all areas of the facility including cleanroom, mechanical areas, exterior and roof locations as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Requires 2 years of vocational technical education and a minimum of 10 years on-the-job experience
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on facilities equipment in support of a 24/7 cleanroom manufacturing plant. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs working closely with other departments to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • General building maintenance tasks as necessary
  • Performing daily rounds and readings to look for abnormal conditions
  • Knowledge of ultrapure water and pH neutralization systems
  • Knowledge of industrial waste discharge and hazardous waste management programs
  • Strong math, computer, and CMMS skills
  • Experience with automation systems
  • Ability to work with hand tools and shop equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs on a periodic basis
  • The position involves occasional on-call duties, including responding to calls outside of standard working hours.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and fix potential safety hazards.
