SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will lead a team of Design Enablement PDK engineers to develop, maintain, and support software tools used in the design flow for utilizing Polar PDK offerings. The position will involve the development, QA, maintenance, and support of Process Design Kits (PDKs), mask processing and design verification services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage / lead a team of PDK engineers
  • Develop, QA, maintain and support PDKs with infrastructure for multiple EDA platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and QA of Design Manual (ground rule verification, DoE, etc.)
  • Developing and supporting physical verification checking scripts (DRC and LVS), PEX, ERC, etc.
  • Supporting internal and external customers.
  • Develop and support design flow for IP creation, verification, integration, and support.
  • Provide training and support to external customers when working with Polar PDK/DRC/LVS flow.
  • Regression flow to provide quality assurance (QA) flow for testing of PDK, EDA tools and applications.
  • Develop and maintain issues logging database and customer engineering support

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering required although Ph D preferred. 10+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in circuits, solid state, RF, material science and/or semiconductor manufacturing process required.
  • Python, Tcl, SKILL, and object-oriented programming skill strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in writing Linux shell scripts, C/C++, PERL, and general programming is required.
  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Team oriented and willing to train and groom your own team required.
