Business Systems Application Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Application Developer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing business systems and applications to support key organizational processes. You will collaborate with various departments to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the seamless integration of applications with existing business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain business applications and systems based on organizational requirements.

• Systems Integration: Ensure seamless integration of new and existing applications with other business systems (ERP, CRM, HCMS, etc.).

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating them into technical solutions.

• Customization: Customize and enhance existing systems to meet evolving business needs, including system upgrades and enhancements.

• Data Management & Analytics: Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data across business applications.

• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support to resolve application-related issues, debugging and troubleshooting code when necessary.

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for systems and applications, including process flows, architecture diagrams, and user manuals.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure applications function as intended and meet the needs of end-users.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, IT staff, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technology trends, tools, and best practices in application development and business systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in application development, preferably in a business systems environment.

• Minimum of one year of experience with ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other enterprise systems is preferred

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.Net, C#, Java, or similar

• Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.) and API integration.

• Experience with Power BI, SSRS or similar tools

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

• Knowledge of system architecture and data modeling concepts.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with low-code/no-code development platforms.

• Experience with Microsoft GP, Dynamics 365 and/or Workday

• Understanding of business process automation and workflow optimization.

• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Monday.com

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.
