JOB SUMMARY

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing equipment commissioning, modifications, repairs & troubleshooting, inspections to a wide range of ISG equipment located at a variety of customers project sites. Including, but not limited to, VFD's, Analytical skids, Remote I/O Panels, PLC Panels, CMS Panels & Power Control Centers. Technicians may travel to project sites throughout the US.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • A working knowledge of UL 508 A Code and Variable Frequency Drivers (VFD's) at a level normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma or related field or equivalent experience; and
  • Two years' experience in Field Service
  • Two years' experience in Control Panel Manufacturing


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Working knowledge of UL 508A code.
  • Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drivers (VFD's)
  • Ability to understand a wide range of schematics and specifications
  • High-level ability to test, troubleshoot, live voltage testing, service, and repair Industrial Control Panels
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize dynamic work schedules
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with mobile devices and applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Commissioning, warranty repairs, troubleshooting and support pertaining to Industrial Control Panels
  • Accurately and independently perform repairs, panel modifications, commissioning, and other tasks at customer locations
  • Programming and commissioning Variable Frequency Drivers (VFD's)
  • Short periods of travel for field service support
  • Ability to manufacture electrical control panels from start to finish
  • Produce detailed service reports
  • Red line / correct drawings in the field for changes
  • Support Control Panel Manufacturing and/or Quality Control department when not in the Field
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Due to the need for unescorted access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems, must submit to periodic background checks
  • May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems
  • Requires travel: Moderate (up to 25%) after training period
