OverviewPortfolio Analyst - Renewables Microsoft is looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join the Renewable Energy Team within the Cloud Operations + Innovation Organization. In this position, you will be responsible for administering a large portfolio of renewable energy contracts in support of Microsoft's carbon neutral and environmental justice goals. You will join a high impact team and gain a wide range of exposure to global energy markets. Ideally you will have an interest in wholesale renewable energy contracts, fostering strategic commercial relationships, , and an interest in developing analytical skills to deliver results with an unwavering commitment to justice and equity. Responsibilities Work with Renewable Energy Asset Managers to facilitate key commercial relationships with renewable energy suppliers in a variety of Global marketsOnboard new contracts at execution into an asset management platform and develop commercial relationships with suppliers Support Asset Management in tracking contract deliverables including but not limited to environmental attribute certificate delivery/retirement in accordance with contract provisions and maintain supporting documentation for audit, progress documentation for projects under constructionEnsure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information is shared on a timely basis with legal, tax, accounting, and financeSupport contract settlements and implement tools for independent verification to ensure accurate invoices and timely paymentsProvide support for contract negotiations with actionable feedback on vendor performance and portfolio risks and opportunitiesSupport the development of a platform of analytical and management tools to optimize the renewable energy portfolio Supporting tracking environmental justice outcomes. Develop subject matter expertise in community-led approaches to the clean energy transition in collaboration with environmental justice staff.Embody our Culture and Values | |
