Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Phlebotomist:

  • Prepare, process, label and store patient specimens and samples
  • Maintain inventory, stock, re-order and replace laboratory supplies
  • Ensure all equipment related to laboratory services is properly maintained and functioning
  • Maintain all records for maintenance of equipment related to laboratory services


Qualifications

Qualifications for Phlebotomist:

  • Office Lab Assistant License required (Nevada only)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing a variety of routine blood drawing procedures
  • Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Phlebotomist certification/license in NV
  • A valid CPR card
  • A minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
