Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position with Drs. Wei Sun and Li Hsu in the Biostatistics Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Responsibilities Responsibilities include developing innovative statistical and machine learning methods for spatial-omic or genomic data, identifying tumor features predictive of survival outcomes, as well as integrating multiple data sources to assess the relation between environmental risk factors and tumor subtypes. Specific areas of interest include deep learning, statistical modeling and inference, and observational data analyses. The fellow will have real data analysis experience by participating in large collaborative studies involving rich datasets on tumor germline or somatic genetic data, spatial omics, lifestyle and environmental risk factors across diverse populations. The position will come with a very competitive postdoc-level salary with great benefits for at least two years. The environment at Fred Hutch is lively yet casual, with a strong emphasis on innovative and collaborative work. Fred Hutch is housed in a lovely campus next to Lake Union a short walk from downtown, and a convenient shuttle from the University of Washington. Qualifications Ph.D. in (bio)statistics, computer science, or related quantitative fields with strong skills in computing, data analysis, and some knowledge of biology.
