DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days per week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them with participating in exciting activities, you will play a significant role in their wellbeing. Through this day-to-day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment (8-hour day; 40-hour week)
  • Work hours are available on the following shifts 1st shift (6:45 AM to 3:15 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:15 PM to 7:45 AM), rotating weekends and holidays, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Training will be conducted on 1st shift.
  • Overtime may be required as operationally necessary
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.

Special Requirement:

  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

In accordance with the seniority provisions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, this position was previously posted for seniority candidates. Since there were no seniority candidates, it is now open to all applicants.
