This opportunity is in the Information Technology Department.

Role Description:

In the role of Product Manager, Data Management, you will be part of a dynamic team that lives by Safety National's core values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance, and Stability. You will work closely with out Director, Product Management and the entire IT department at Safety National. Your contributions of strategizing and producing roadmaps for our product and product lines will be felt throughout Safety National.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Product Manager, Data Management will include being responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of a product or product line. You work with cross-functional teams, including product owners, solution architects, engineering, and various business stakeholders to ensure that the product aligns with business goals and meets market needs. You will act as the bridge between the technical and business worlds, ensuring that the product satisfies customer needs and aligns with the company's strategic goals. You may also be assigned various projects like, stakeholder management, project management and continuous improvement of best practices and trends.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a minimum of five years working experience in Product Management, specifically in data management, data engineering or related domain, proven experience managing data platforms, data governance tools, ETL processes, or data integration products. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, having the technical skills to understand how complex systems work to be able to explain to teams the needs of the customers to achieve value, strong negotiation skills to have tradeoff conversations with stakeholders to best position products for success.

Qualifications:

Education:



  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of five years of working experience in Product Management, specifically in data management, data engineering or related domains.
  • Possess three or more approved certifications within job area
  • Proven experience management data platforms, data governance tools, ETL processes, or data integrations products
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance and privacy
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scale Agile Framework for enterprise preferred) and tools liked TargetProcess, JIRA, Confluence, and others.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with cloud-based data management platforms (Snowflake, Azure)
  • P&C Insurance experience

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
