Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit |
The Graduate School performs all administrative functions related to graduate studies at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (
UNCG). Almost 25% of all students at
UNCG are graduate students, and 23% of all degrees earned have been at the graduate level. The Graduate School is responsible for creating and maintaining the official graduate student database within the Universitiy's Banner Student Information System for access by all other concerned units on campus. All admissions, activities and issues related to enrolled students, clearance for graduation, assistanships, fellowships, scholarships, health insurance, and awards are administered by the Graduate School. Recruitment of new students and marketing of programs is accomplished through leadership of The Graduate School and in collaborative efforts with departmental personnel. |
Position Summary |
This position is located within the graduate recruitment and admissions unit. It is responsible for assisting departments with recruitment efforts and managing the application process (compiling, organizing, monitoring, auditing, communicating, etc.) for a designated group of graduate programs. This position also assists in retention efforts of the Graduate School by identifying potential students needing additional assistance and directing them to the appropriate staff or office. |
Minimum Qualifications |
BACHELOR'S DEGREE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS. |
