Job Title: Supply Chain Management
Location(s): White Plains, NY
Supply Chain Management team currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to support commercial procurement strategies and execute commercial negotiations on Major Projects such as clean energy development and Reimagine Canals .
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, consultants in support of service agreements for clean, renewable energy construction projects, maintenance and operations.
- Track supply chain requirements, conduct sourcing and competitive bidding processes and negotiate agreements.
- Collaborate with the operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position their pipeline of renewable energy projects.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of current market conditions and their potential impact on cost, lead time and availability of supply.
- Promote strict adherence to all Procurement and other applicable policies and procedures, and recommend modifications as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement around reporting, vendor management, systems and other processes.
- Assist with supporting all systems and tools required by Procurement activities, including but not limited to systems related to purchasing and contract management, third-party vendor management and reporting.
Skills:
- Proficienct knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio. Working knowledge of materials and inventory management, logistics, quality assurance, quality control, maintenance and operations. Experience with SAP Procurement and Ariba. Ability to use independent judgement on procurement processes and strategy.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering --OR-- equivalent work experience/training.
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience with proven track record of achievement.
