Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of the Company's manufacturing machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems. You will utilize your knowledge and experience to ensure all wire and cable manufacturing equipment operates continuously. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and perseverance to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. This position is expected to anticipate problems and take decisive, proactive measures to avoid or minimize adverse impacts on the facilities or equipment. Key Responsibilities

Work Environment The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing environment that requires the use of personal protective equipment including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Manufacturing areas may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Manufacturing areas are affected by outside temperatures and machining. Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in harsh environments such as extreme heat, humidity and cold. Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. Must be able to work from elevated areas and in confined spaces. This position requires the ability to bend, stoop and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as climb ramps and stairs; read and write, work with a computer and keyboard; hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery, sirens, and alarms); speak to express or exchange ideas, impart oral information to include instructions; vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception.
