POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Commercial Lines Marketing Associate

Department: BayCoast Insurance LLC

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  1. Market exposures to find the most competitive insurance product to suit prospects / clients needs. Marketing focus is on New Business with occasional key renewals.
  2. Work with producers to develop competitive quotes & proposals in an effort to facilitate effective market placement.
  3. Provide assistance as needed to the President & CEO, VP Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, and Marketing Director.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Organic Growth
    1. Both directly and through assisting Customer Service Reps and Account Managers, design, market and place risk transfer programs to properly protect client's assets utilizing standard carrier markets as well as excess / surplus lines markets as required.
    2. Work with producers on target marketing campaigns to ensure producers are making contact with clients and gathering data. Provide producers with follow up activity reports.
    3. Provide walk in and call in prospects a solution to their insurance needs by assigning a producer or keeping it in the small business unit.
  2. Agency Development
    1. Develop and maintain long-term, high quality relationships with carriers as well as strategic agency resources, encouraging increased support from these entities and accessing their resources as needed.
    2. Be aware of additional new markets and resources. Inform Marketing Director of alternative resources when needed and as the agency business plan may require.
    3. Participate and implement projects as assigned by Senior Leadership.
    4. Work with producers on quality control issues like complete applications, cover letters, and other ways to make the account more marketable.

e. Prepare weekly production reports and review in the weekly sales meetings.

f. Embrace the BayCoast Bank commitment to SOLUTIONS by seeking and

recognizing opportunities to refer new business to different areas of the organization,

Plimoth Investment Advisors, BayCoast Financial, and BayCoast Mortgage.

g. Be proficient and stay current with the Agency Management System, policies and procedures, and all other pertinent software programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Maintains a professional knowledge of the business. Keep up-to-date on industry

trends and changes.

2. Has the ability to perform multiple tasks in complex working environment accurately

and proficiently.

3. Possesses above average computer knowledge and skills. Has knowledge and

experience necessary for independent decision-making ability.

4. Appropriately licensed and continuing education completed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Proficient in Applied Epic
  2. Deep understanding of insurance products and industry regulations.
  3. Possess above average computer knowledge and skills. Has knowledge and experience necessary for independent decision-making ability.
  4. Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills.
  5. Holds a CIC, CPCU, or other professional designation.
