Job Summary

The Dock Coordinator is responsible for daily organization of inbound and outbound warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assigns picking tasks to available resources in the warehouse by coordinating and documenting inbound and outbound activities for daily warehouse operations.
  • Evaluates and sequences cross dock shipments in SAP and validates these cross-dock shipments for accuracy and compliance before shipping/receiving.
  • Oversees the safety of the dock area and inspects the condition of trailers and tractors. Maintains cleanliness of shared work areas.
  • Coordinates trailers to the docks utilizing yard check and communicates with the switcher/hiker and assigns inbound and outbound activities.
  • Coordinates staging of built pallets.
  • Verifies ASN pallets for accuracy.
  • Perform the OOS warehouse walks, maintain the OOS table in POD and communicate to the floor.
  • Sequences loads to the teams and/or employees in POD.
  • Views/Analyze warehouse stock reports (DSI reports) and the layer opportunity report.
  • Accountable for all product, including CO2 tanks, loaded onto each truck before it leaves for delivery to the customer.

Job Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

* Minimum of one year of work experience.

* Prior experience in warehouse or distribution operations required.

* Proficient computer skills, including SAP, Excel, and Word.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision.

* Strong communication skills, analytical thought process and problem-solving capabilities.

Physical Requirements

* Sitting: Frequently sedentary in an office environment, behind a desk (typing, answering phone, research online)

* Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)

* Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports)

* Typing: Frequently using a keyboard for day-to-day business (email, reports, texting)

* Mobility: Frequent travel throughout warehouse (walking the dock, auditing trucks, closing trucks)
