Job Summary |
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Tiger Giving Officer to join our operations and strategy team! In this position, your outreach efforts will directly support Auburn's mission and inspire lasting generosity. As part of the cAUse Marketing team, you will work with alumni, parents, and friends of Auburn to increase mid-level giving through personalized, one-on-one interactions.
What You'll Do:
- Engaging Donors: Utilize phone calls, digital channels, and video conferencing tools to connect with alumni and friends, building relationships that inspire mid-level contributions under the major gift level of $25,000.
- Collaborating for Success: Work alongside the Advancement team and campus partners to align your efforts with Auburn's strategic priorities, ensuring personalized engagement and sustained donor support.
- Driving Results: Autonomously manage your portfolio, setting and achieving fundraising goals through consistent, high-volume outreach while continuously refining your approach to donor engagement.
- Champion Philanthropy: Serve as a passionate advocate for Auburn's mission, encouraging mid-level donors to support the university's initiatives through personalized outreach and tailored giving strategies.

Essential Functions |
Your Responsibilities as a Tiger Giving Officer:
o Purpose:
- Inspire Giving: Engage alumni, parents, and friends through strategic one-to-one outreach, using phone calls and digital communication to encourage mid-level gifts and pledges.
- Donor Engagement: Develop and implement solicitation outreach plans and personalized messaging to secure gifts under the major gift level of $25,000.
o Collaboration:
- Partner with Team: Collaborate closely with the Advancement team and frontline fundraisers to ensure consistent donor engagement and support the growth of Auburn's philanthropic pipeline.
- Campus Collaboration: Work with campus partners to stay informed on alumni and fundraising opportunities, using this information to create customized outreach and stewardship plans.
o Innovation:
- Tech-Driven Engagement: Utilize Auburn's digital platforms, video conferencing software, and other technology to build rapport, engage donors, and solicit contributions.
- Stay Creative: Continuously refine your outreach strategies by exploring new digital channels and innovative approaches to connect with donors.
o Production:
- Meet Goals: With a high level of autonomy, set and achieve fundraising goals by conducting high-volume outreach and securing gifts and pledges from your portfolio.
- Track Success: Monitor and report your progress, ensuring that all donor interactions are properly documented in Auburn's CRM system.
