Overview The Physical Therapy Department at Clarkson University invites applicants to apply for a full time core faculty position as Chair and Program Director. This position is a 12-month tenure or clinical track position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with rank and salary commensurate with credentials and experience. This position reports to the Dean of the Lewis School of Health Sciences. We are seeking a faculty candidate who will contribute to the department and the profession through innovation and collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working in a highly interactive and collaborative teaching/learning environment. The Clarkson University Physical Therapy program received initial CAPTE accreditation in 2001, with continuing accreditation through 2027. An interactive curriculum based on experiential learning and small class sizes allow for individualized student-centered experiences. The program is supported by strong clinical partners with diverse clinical backgrounds, actively engaged and supportive of our educational mission and research agendas. As part of Clarkson University's Lewis School of Health Sciences, the physical therapy program is committed to a shared vision for interprofessional education and collaboration. Potsdam, NY is the cultural and educational hub of Northern New York, with four universities in the area. In the Adirondacks of New York State, Potsdam is picturesque with much to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Potsdam offers a small town experience with reasonable cost of living, good school districts, and a safe environment to raise a family, yet relatively close to the urban opportunities afforded by Ottawa, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.
