Job Summary: To ensure the completeness, accuracy, and privacy of all client's medical records. The Medical Records - Registration Clerk is versed in record control, release of information, HIPPA rules and regulations, customer service, processing of legal documents and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). This position is responsible for routing and maintaining medical information. Completing registrations. The Medical Record -Registration Clerk is responsible for maintaining the fiscal data. Insurance and consent forms. All medical record - registration clerks work weekends and holidays and may be subject to mandating. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of office practices, principles, methods and procedures; knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation; knowledge and proficiency in the use of a personal computer; written and oral communication skills; organizational skills; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to maintain records, files and store items numerically, alphabetically or by classification; ability to perform data entry into a computer system; ability to perform basic math computations; ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others; ability to maintain sensitive or confidential information. The selection process will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral, or performance tests, or other assessment methods.
