JOB SUMMARY

Primary duties are to assist the project manager with project planning, scheduling, purchasing, reporting, and tracking. Performs duties under the functional direction of the project manager or group manager.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Two years' construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in the construction industry.


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use Accubid proficiently is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of construction (technology, equipment, methods, codes); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety is required.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist Project Manager in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, and arranging for assignment of project personnel.



  • Advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties. Assist in circumventing / resolving such problems as assigned.



  • Perform tasks required to assist in the development and maintenance of budgets for a portion of or an entire project. Includes coding timesheets, invoices, etc., collecting actual quantities installed, monitoring progress per cost account, identifying potential cost overruns, etc.



  • Perform estimating assignments as required.



  • Assist with or update construction forecast to reflect most accurate / current cost and estimate information.



  • Assist in analyzing work progress and developing craft productivity reports to document cost / budget activity.



  • Calculate / prepare various comparison reports, charts, and tables for project analysis.



  • Assist in preparing special reports, studies, etc. requested by the client and/or project management.



  • Assist in management and issuance of subcontracts.



  • Assist with material procurement and coordination.



  • Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items as required.



  • May provide supervision and/or on-the-job training to clerical or entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.



  • Assist in ensuring company's safety initiatives are followed by all on-site employees. Investigate, report, and correct any safety-related incidents.



  • Safely drive various vehicles. Obtain, as necessary, all moving permits, licenses, titles, safety checks, etc. as required by corporate policy, state or federal regulations or client requirements.



  • Perform additional assignments as requested.





OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
