Position Summary:

LinQuest seeks a SATCOM Engineer IV at Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland, to provide expertise in implementing the Army's unified "One Network" vision for Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) PM TN designs, modernizes, fields and supports the U.S. Army's continually evolving tactical network transport and networking capabilities. The systems in the portfolio enable integrated global mission command, and voice, video and data exchange -- from home station to the tactical edge of the battlefield -- in support of Army, joint and coalition multi-domain operations. These network transport technologies enable the data-centric network environment that commanders need to retain decision dominance and ensure success on the battlefield against near-peer adversaries.

Key Skills/Responsibilities and Required Skills:



  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing or related field
  • A minimum of eight (8) year of related tactical network software engineering functions or fifteen (15) years of experience w/o BS degree
  • Ability to provide in-depth technical assessments and analysis of activities within and between programs.
  • Ability to support the design of system architectures, terminals, waveforms and access protocols.
  • Experience with supporting analysis of system performance, throughput and response time, analysis of operational requirements and system loading.
  • Experience with conducting systems engineering evaluations of satellite and terminal designs.
  • Experience with participating in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite systems
  • Ability to support design reviews and perform evaluation of satellite and terminal contractor designs.
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical issues into meaningful terms for others involved.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate within and outside of the program management office, to include such organizations such as Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications - Tactical (PEO C3T), Army Capabilities Manager (ACM), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), industry vendors and other Army stakeholders.
  • Experience with serving as subject matter experts in all aspects of transmission, to include modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation, and other algorithms/protocols.
  • Experience with serving as Subject Matter Expert and brings knowledge of systems engineering methods and processes in order to perform SATCOM system analysis and evaluations for both commercial and military systems.
  • Knowledge of Military Standards (MIL-STDs) and certification processes.
  • Familiarity of customer/vendor product development, business proposals, marketing interaction, product design and manufacturing processes


Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • Experience with DoD Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM) or Product Manager (O5 PdM)
  • Ability to analyze issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
  • Knowledge of Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization concepts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate written and orally.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting the PEO C3T, or Intelligence & Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) program.
  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DOD spacecraft systems
  • Knowledge of IC and/or DOD acquisition roles, processes, and /or program management
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering or Digital Engineering


Compensation:



  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $120,000 to $140,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
