Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

Our Iola area client is searching for a meticulous and quality-focused 2nd shift Quality Technician to join their production team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring their products meet the highest standards, from raw materials to finished goods.
Hours:
  • Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of plastic parts throughout the production process, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Utilize calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to verify parts meet dimensional specifications and tolerances
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects such as surface imperfections, color variations, or improper assembly
  • Analyze test results and maintain inspection records according to established quality control procedures
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials or parts
  • Work collaboratively with production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Assist with the implementation of corrective and preventative actions to improve quality control processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols
  • May be required to operate basic testing equipment following established procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment
  • Understanding of plastic materials and manufacturing processes a plus
  • Experience with inspection tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to established protocols
