The Head of Partner Banking is responsible for building infrastructure and mutually beneficial financial relationships with technology companies looking to leverage Valley's deposit and payment processing capabilities.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and as needed
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Understand Valley's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in class.
  • Build deep understanding of our different types of partner segments and Valley's respective strengths/weaknesses for each segment.
  • Partners with operations and technology to develop and implement payment processing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business lines to execute ideas through all aspects of the partner lifecycle across products, legal, compliance, operations, audit and executive team.
  • Profit and loss responsibility for Partner Banking within Valley.
  • Develops, coaches, mentors, and manages a team of total rewards professionals. Motivates staff reviews and assesses performance, develops and builds employee skills, supports their professional development, and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department.
  • Define success criteria & metrics for the team's work, and positively impact those metrics.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Required Skills:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital technologies for financial institutions.
  • Proven track record of delivery and new product feature creation.
  • Obsession with shipping products that customers love.
  • Experience building an understanding of customers, and rapid iteration to quickly learn how to solve their problems (via rapid prototyping, UX research and testing, experimentation, etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of agile software product development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional planning, collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.


Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Fintech Banking/Banking as a Service/Payments.


Preferred Experience:


  • Master's Degree
