Salary Grade: T26 Learn more about the "T" salary structure here: https://careers.temple.edu/sites/careers/files/documents/T_Salary_Structure.pdf Job Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Finance and Administration, the Financial Manager performs financial, grants and administrative functions for the College of Science and Technology (CST). Monitors the operating budget for six departments and serves as the budget authority for department staff which includes projecting the assigned revenue and expenditure units, reconciling variances, reviewing expenditures of departments, re-budgeting as necessary, and completing accounting functions, reporting and financial analysis. The Financial Manager also works closely with the Controller's Office in analyzing and managing CST Space Inventory for F&A Analysis and Negotiation. Serves on various University level committees - Research Advisory committee, Accounts Payable, Cognos, OMB committee, Admin council, etc. Supervises staff and implements performance standards and expectations for their professional and career development and takes corrective action on performance issues as required. Administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to purchase requisitions, work requests, and travel reimbursements. The Financial Manager assists with developing grant application budgets, reviewing and analyzing grant expenditures, preparing financial reports, and development of grant spending plans as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and four years of directly related financial experience. Demonstrated experience and exposure to administrative policy/procedures, budget management, financial reporting, supervising staff and grants administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities:
