Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures systems and processes are in place to drive safety, quality, and environmental performance by the workgroup
- Clearly communicates goals around operating performance while assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting clear objectives and measuring, monitoring processes, progress, and results
- Has direct participation in safety meetings and overall training initiatives to model appropriate behavior for our field employees
- Performs safety observations in the field to establish high visibility with employees and the customer
- Supports field employees with performance problems and helps establish effective corrective actions
- Ensures positive recognition is occurring for good performance and personally participate in recognition events where possible
- Provides one-on-one and group coaching to field employees and provides support and input to peers on the team
- Conducts inspections and general repairs of tank / hopper cars
Job Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and or training
- Knowledge of AAR ,FRA and Railinc maintenance standards
- Current Welding Certification, Current NDT Certification : Bubble leak test II , Visual / Weld Inspection II
- Air Brake Certification (manual / automatic )
- Currently has training : VS - I Replacement of service equipment, VS-II Valve rebuild
- Familiar with incoming inspections of railcar parts and materials
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
