Manager, Financial Systems

HealthPartners is hiring a Financial Systems Manager. They are responsible for management of financial systems including Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP System, Oracle Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Enterprise Data Management, Oracle Financial Close and Consolidation and other financial systems such as TrackerPro. This position will manage a team of 3-4 Financial Systems Analysts. This position will partner cross functionally with Finance as well as Human Resources, IT, Payroll and Supply Chain to ensure system effectiveness and functionality.

The Financial Systems Manager serves as the business lead for the implementation and administration of the HealthPartners Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system and other systems owned by the Finance Department. Responsible for gathering and analyzing the business process requirements and configuring the ERP system to efficiently meet those requirements. Plans for Finance related system projects and business process improvements. Works with software systems project teams and will direct the project activities of Finance staff and will cooperatively direct the project activities of other subject matter experts assigned to support Finance software system projects. Administers user security and configures the software systems owned by the Finance Department, including the ERP system. Works collaboratively to carry out complex work to manage, support, and integrate other HealthPartners systems with the ERP and other Finance software. Serves as Finance Department liaison to HealthPartners Information Technology staff, vendor resources, and other HealthPartners staff resources that utilize financial systems. Ensures efficient maintenance and operation of financial systems, to provide optimum functionality, and to ensure data integrity and security. Works to provide useful system output, reports, and data analysis, and identifies and implements process improvement opportunities. Works to provide documentation and training for users of Finance Systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  1. Responsible for the supervision of staff, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Lead and manage the performance and development of staff. Lead priorities and manage work performance of staff.
  3. Manage and prioritize tasks related to system upgrades and projects.
  4. Serve as Finance key point of contact working with IT, HR, Payroll and Supply Chain on cross functional items.
  5. Build strong understanding of Integrations and manage any changes required for integrations into or out of Oracle finance modules and other financial systems.
  6. Manage Budgeting & Planning system changes to support annual forecast, budget and long-range planning
  7. Manage process for testing and validation related to Oracle quarterly updates.
  8. Ensure process controls around Oracle structure are updated and enforced
  9. Have strong understanding of all Oracle modules Finance will be using.
  10. Build and maintain knowledge of finance operational processes.
  11. Develop test schedules, plans and test scenarios to meet system upgrade timelines and ensure results are documented.
  12. Review functional specification(s) for any new or revised integrations.
  13. Manage user support issues and coordinate with IT on issue resolution.
  14. Develop and assist with continuous process improvement, standardization of processes and support best practices.
  15. Develop communications to inform finance users of technology changes
  16. Work with cross functional teams on configuration decisions and process decisions.
  17. Maintain knowledge of technology changes and trends
  18. Develop Training for system users.
  19. Ensure documentation is kept up to date by team members
  20. Develop and update process flow documents


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or technology related field.
  2. 5+ years of general business analysis or accounting
  3. 3+ years ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience
  4. Excellent communication, relationship management and collaboration skills.
  5. Ability to adhere to project timelines, effectively manage various project tasks and complexities.
  6. Ability to drive, adopt and lead others through change.
  7. Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  8. Strong business process skills and system skills including troubleshooting issues
  9. Strong teamwork skills, including positive attitude and flexibility to support system priorities.
  10. Strong computer skills and experienced in Microsoft Office.
  11. Excellent facilitation skills with both large and small groups.
  12. Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  1. HealthCare Experience
  2. Oracle Fusion Cloud (strongly preferred)
  3. 2+ years management experience
