Job Description



  • Under minimal supervision, performs diagnoses, troubleshooting, repair, and maintain facility and machinery.
  • Performs self-directed reactive and planned maintenance which includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to locate root cause of problem
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Repairs and/or replaces defective parts
  • Tests devices to observe performance
  • Reconditions and repairs machines


Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Performs all work in accordance with established company and regulatory safety requirements
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots machine failures
  • Responsible for electro-mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment/machinery
  • Answers and completes service calls in an efficient manner; records activities in work order system
  • Maintains an accurate log of all parts used and assists in maintaining inventory
  • Continually improves processes


Requirements/Job Requirements



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years previous mechanical maintenance experience a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints (preferred)
  • Must possess a basic knowledge and skill set with measuring instruments
  • Must be able to use hand and power tools
  • Must be a team player, organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize


Physical Demands



  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job


Work Environment



  • Occasionally works in high, precarious places, and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Varying temperature
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high (ear plugs required)
