Job Description:

The PACS Administrator provides leadership and direction for systems administration activities and individuals. Incumbent performs administration and provides operational support for corporate systems including hardware and OS system availability, performance tuning, installation, security, and troubleshooting. Senior-level professional experienced in all aspects of systems administration.

ition Details:

This is an onsite position at Saint Mary in Grand Junction. Incumbent will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours.

Scope:

1.Ensures site specific configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of the Radiology and Cardiology applications.
2. Analyzes and documents user requirements, procedures, and problems; to automate or improve existing systems.
3. Reviews and understands Radiology and Cardiology application capabilities, workflows, and limitations; use this knowledge to enhance these areas for the departments supported.
4. Develops and documents workflows, build activities, test procedures, quality standards, change management activities, end user notifications, training information, status reporting; all within the appropriate systems, and in a timely manner.
5. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation. Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
6. Expands or modifies the Radiology and Cardiology applications to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
7. Oversees complex projects throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring and reporting on progress throughout the process. Partners with the business partners/SMEs to develop scope, schedule, and budget.
8. Manages stakeholder expectations, identifies and monitors risks and issues; escalates risks and critical issues as appropriate. Coordinates internal and external resources and third party / vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
9. Manages scope, develops and manages project plans; schedules project work to ensure deadlines are met; reports project status weekly. Develops and maintains robust communications plans and keeps all stakeholders and project sponsors informed on a routine basis.
10. Serves as relationship manager/liaison to site Imaging leadership. Reports and escalates to management as needed.
11. Promotes SCL Health mission, vision, and values, and demonstrates SCL Health leadership behaviors.
12. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
14. May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher. Education will be verified.
  • Five (5) years of experience with PACS specific duties such as build, test, support, implementation, upgrade management, application configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation An additional 2 years of experience may substitute for the required education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience as a PACS Administrator
  • Experience with Radiology and Cardiovascular networking and reporting structures

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
