Well Pump Specialist (Day Shift)

Pay rate $29.80.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm and 11:59 pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 am-4:59 am)

Essential Job Functions:

1. Troubleshoot & repair 30HP to 75HP motors submersible & turbines.
2. Troubleshoot and understand the operations of a pressure vessel.
3. Operate submersible Well pumps.
4. Analyze and repair electrical malfunctions.
5. Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.
6. Report (in writing) materials and replacement parts needed for jobs; prepare and maintain maintenance invoices required.
7. Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (e.g., Electrical Maintenance Mechanics; Classes B and C).
8. Determine proper size and specifications and perform electrical maintenance on miscellaneous items such as wire, conduit, fuses, motors, switches, panels, lighting, relays, control devices, etc.
9. Prepare layouts of electrical circuits
10. Inspect motors, motor control centers, junction boxes, circuit breakers transformers, fuse panels, lighting, and heating.
11. Perform installations, connections, adjustments, and calibrations of electrical gauges, meters, etc.

Requirements:

1. Experience pulling and repairing well pump for min 10 years.
2. Experience with running & operating pump truck with hoist min 10 years.
3. Ability to read pump curves.
4. Ability to calibrate total pumping head and flow rates.
5. Must have a minimum of 5 years of training on the job and/or formal schooling.
6. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
9. Must be able to work from a ladder.
10. Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.
11. Must operate and maintain company vehicles under company guidelines and policies.
12. Use of basic hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, pliers, tape measure, wire strippers,
13. Use of electrical voltage tester/meter Etc.
14. Use of basic power tools - Sawzall, grinder, drill, impact drill
15. Must be able to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
16. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
17. Must be able to follow all Biosecurity and safety requirements.
18. Must have knowledge with equipment replacement, parts, and material.
19. Must be able to instruct and coordinate subordinate employees (semi skills).
20. Must be able to read basic electrical motor diagrams/schematics.
21. Basic knowledge in electrical field (120/240vac, single phase, 3 phase and rotation (208,240,480).
22. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, be on call or times dictated by production needs.
23. Work from blueprints and schematics to repair or install new equipment.
24. Assist in training subordinate employees (Mechanic C, and Semi Skill Laborers).
25. Must have excellent time management skills.
26. Must be able to get material list and complete jobs as needed.
27. Effectively quote and complete projects
28. Must be able to work closely with vendors and contractors to complete projects.
29. Must be able to keep projects within budget.
30. Knowable in sizing wire, conduit, and transformers etc.
31. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or times dictated by live production needs.
32. Must have knowledge of different pipe material (PVC, Galvanized)
33. Must be able to aid Contractors within our department (with Wells)
34. Ability to take charge in leadsperson's absence.
