Hackensack University Medical Center is a 781-bed teaching and research hospital and is part of Hackensack Meridian Health, which is affiliated with Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. Hackensack University Medical Center is the largest provider of inpatient and outpatient services in the state of New Jersey. The John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center is New Jersey's largest and most comprehensive cancer program. Faculty and pharmacy staff work closely to integrate clinical functions. There are currently five faculty members at Hackensack University Medical Center in the areas of Organ Transplant, Infectious Disease and two in Pediatrics. There are also seven hospital-based clinical practitioners.
The Internal Medicine faculty member will provide didactic and experiential teaching to pharmacy students and work closely with Internal Medicine physicians and medical residents to provide clinical pharmacy services to the medical teaching teams. The faculty will also serve as a preceptor and mentor for pharmacy residents and assist as a Residency Program Coordinator. The faculty will work with the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator to provide education/development to pharmacy staff, develop policy and procedures, participate in multidisciplinary committees, serve as a resource for drug information and medication safety services.
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey. |
