Description

Harrington House in Boston seeks a Clinician for their group home serving children ages 8 to 15 and their families. The program provides residential treatment by offering a safe, structured home-like, living environment. Children living at Harrington House participate fully in the community through school attendance and extracurricular activities. The program offers clinical services, health services, psychiatric services, educational assistance, milieu therapy, and case management services.

Position Description



  • Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, the Clinician will develop behavior support plans with family and staff in order to best meet the needs of referred youth.
  • Provide clinical oversight of care coordination. Support the implementation of trauma informed interventions as appropriate.
  • Provide family treatment targeted toward identifying and addressing family needs and strengths related to planned reunification.
  • Plan and lead psycho-educational groups with direct care staff.
  • Provide support to youth and families during periods of crisis.
  • Assist youth in connecting to longer term outpatient therapeutic and other community based supports post-discharge from the group home.


Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Related Field.
  • Experience working with children/adolescents. Valid Driver's license.
  • Preferred prior experience with Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, the Department of Mental Health and/or the Department of Youth Services. Experience serving youth who have experienced trauma
