JOB SUMMARY
Payroll Supervisor is responsible for day-today management of the team of payroll employees whose primary responsibilities include processing, settlement and fulfillment of payroll and customer-facing interaction to solve and/or triage customer initiated inquiries.

Peoplesoft and Excel experience is strongly preferred.

Kronos or UKG experience is a plus.

This position falls under a hybrid work schedule that is currently one day per week in the office and as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required



  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in related field and


  • Experience
    5 years of payroll related experience including three (3) years of supervisory experience.


Preferred



  • Licenses and Certifications
    (FPC) FUNDAMENTAL PAYROLL CERTIFICATION or
    (CPP) CERT PAYROLL PROFESSIONAL


JOB DUTIES




    • Interpret day-to-day business objectives and preparation/execution of operational practices/work programs to asses workload needs based on the functions performed for the day and ensure the team has the necessary instructions, tools and support to complete the work.
    • Assist Payroll Manager to create annual team objectives.
    • Defines standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational framework.
    • Escalate potential service issues to Payroll manager.
    • Working with manager implement quality control measures
    • Supervise Payroll staff and fill in for the manager as needed and prepare work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
    • Assist in monitoring workload and evaluate direct reports and may review the evaluations/development plans of others.
    • Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs.
    • Train team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies.
    • Provides guidance and shares knowledge with all levels of staff relating to existing, enhanced and new Payroll operation procedures and policies.
    • Coordinates the approval and release manual off-cycle check payments.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
