National Grid is hiring a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer. This position offers remote flexibility, with the requirement that candidates reside in one of the following states: New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), Vermont (VT), Rhode Island (RI), Maine (ME), or New Hampshire (NH). Job Purpose

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you are a key member of our global cloud Infrastructure and operations team. You will be tasked with driving innovation and modernization within National Grid's cloud environment(s). You will need to have a deep understanding of public and private cloud infrastructure and be comfortable collaborating with our internal development teams to help deliver their solutions. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing the performance, availability, security, and scalability of National Grid's global cloud platform and other PaaS and IaaS infrastructure and services, including but not limited to Azure IaaS, PaaS and other operational services. You will work alongside a team of cloud engineers / consultants and collaborate with other teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions that meet the business needs and objectives of our internal clients. Key Accountabilities
* Design, create, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, security, backup, and disaster recovery at a global level. Requirements
* At least 4 years of experience (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable) in cloud engineering, operations, or administration. Your Rewards

#LI-RK1 Salary New England: $136k - $160k a year Downstate NY: $145k - $171k a year Upstate NY: $121k - $142k a year This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
