Legal Technical Analyst

This role serves as technical support for e-discovery, records management and other legal applications. This position serves as a liaison with Charter IT and external vendors to resolve technical issues related to the Legal Department systems.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides day-to-day technical support for all applications used by the e-discovery and records management teams
  • Works with various internal technology groups to obtain access to homeshares, groupshares, SharePoint and data repositories in order to perform collections for the purposes of e-discovery and records identification
  • Accurately identify application issues, investigate options and propose solutions to meet the business needs
  • Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the Legal applications
  • Serves as liaison between internal/external vendors and Legal Department
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with the external vendors and monitor vendor performance to ensure proper functioning of all legal applications
  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal); can interact with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated technical skills for troubleshooting application issues
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative ability to identify application issues and propose solutions
  • Demonstrated technical competence; advanced PC skills utilizing a variety of software applications
  • Understanding of Electronic Discovery (ED) or Litigation Support applications
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for solving/diagnosing application issues

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred
