JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Teaching and Learning with Technology Faculty Fellows Program seeks an undergraduate worker to be a student partner for its AI Literacy in Communication Courses project. The AI literacy project involves integrating basic AI literacy objectives within the basic communication course CAS 100 Effective Speech at Penn State, allowing students to develop an understanding of basic AI concepts, applications, and ethical concerns regarding generative AI (GAI). Applicants should have an interest and curiosity to learn about and use (GAI), along with having a desire to help students build AI skills.

Responsibilities include

  • Staying up to date on GAI trends to incorporate into the project
  • Participating in the GAI research process
  • Providing student perspective on GAI within student learning and success
  • Assisting in creating content for AI literacy that will be displayed in Canvas modules

Candidates must be able to work independently, pursue problem-solving, collaborate and communicate effectively, and manage time efficiently.

This is a remote position, open to Penn State undergraduate students from any campus, with the expectation that the student worker will meet with the faculty leader and/or other team members for Zoom meetings during business hours. It pays $15.00/hour.
