Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities
Perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering to the acquisition process.
Qualifications 10+ years experience in systems engineering including at least 3 years supporting DoD programs. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Must have extensive engineering background with strong understanding of architecture. Able to act as the chief architect for the section. Experience developing strong acquisition documentation, able to contextualize acquisition, review submissions from vendors, and able to translate technical requirements to non-technical personnel. Experience with FPGA, ASIC, cost estimating, business development, and changeable roots of trust. Experience with experience with Magicdraw, Sparks, CCML, UML and or DODAF. Able to interact frequently and professionally with organization leadership and end users with equal comfort. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role. Able to establish and build relationships with department heads, management, technical staff, end users, and external vendors to the benefit of the acquisition process. Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations. Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
