Description: NSI requires a Senior Mechanical/Systems Engineer to support Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Adversary Fleet Support Team (FST) supporting the F-5N aircraft and engines (J-85). The Senior Aircraft Mechanical or Systems Engineer will develop detailed solutions for technical, operational, and maintenance problems including assist maintenance in troubleshooting/repair of the rigging of aircraft control systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, pressurization systems. This position may include repair/troubleshooting of aircraft engines. Whether supporting aircraft systems or engine systems, the engineer will be responsible for reviewing current technical maintenance manuals for accuracy and submit appropriate "red line" changes to correct any publication deficiencies. Must be able to present to management or team. Ensure repairs are compliant with approved naval aviation maintenance policies. Perform engineering investigations of failed aircraft components and systems. Provide disposition for obsolete aircraft system components. Determine criticality of aircraft system components by performing failure mode effects and criticality analysis. Review drawings/blueprints, give material estimates and time required for repairs. Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, test, and evaluate projects within the mechanical/aerospace engineering discipline. Limited travel may be required. This position will be a hybrid (remote and on-site) position at the FRCSE.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or system engineering from an ABET accredited college required.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience supporting aerospace efforts/platforms.

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
