About This Role:

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team to help provide exemplary patient care and quality customer service. Veterinary Assistants in this position will provide patient and administrative support to the faculty, staff, and veterinary students of the VHC. This position will include many engaging responsibilities such as overseeing patient intake, assisting with treatments, ensuring accuracy of visit charges, and providing quality customer service from patient check-in to discharge. Working hours for this position will include daytime hours Monday-Friday. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail will be key in succeeding in this position.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or more year(s) of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
• Experience working with electronic medical records systems.
• Experience in client services.
