About This Role:

Job duties include the following: providing short term individual, couple, and group therapy; conducting initial assessments, intakes, and crisis sessions, providing referrals and bridging care to the community as needed; providing supervision and training for doctoral interns; consulting with students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health issues; participating in outreach activities to the campus community and other tasks as requested by our Associate Director. Additionally, this role will be responsible for conducting ADHD and other psychological assessments and leading the assessment seminar for pre-doctoral interns. Occasional after hours and weekend work is required. The position reports to the Director of Lafene Health Center and Counseling & Psychological Services, which is a part of the Division of Student Life.

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or equivalent mental health field from an APA-accredited program.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • One or more years of work experience in college or university counseling center.
  • Experience with ADHD and other psychological assessment and report writing.
  • Experience leading assessment seminars.
  • Two years post-licensure experience.
  • Qualified for psychologist licensure by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Board. Licensure in Kansas to be obtained within a negotiated timeframe


Other Requirements:



  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Qualified for psychology licensure by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Board; licensure to be obtained within a negotiated time frame. Certification by appropriate professional licensure board to provide clinical supervision to license eligible professionals is preferred.
